The Voice's Knockout Rounds concluded Tuesday night with coaches Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton, and Miley Cyrus sending four artists to "The Playoffs."

In each Knockout, two members of a coach's team were pitted against each other, but each individual was able to sing a solo song of his or her own choosing -- unlike "The Battle Round" in which each faceoff had been in the form of a duet and the coaches picked the songs. The goal for every artist is to outperform and outshine the opponent.

The three Knockout Round winners in last night's The Voice broadcast -- who will be moving on to the Playoffs to sing live for home viewer votes -- were Chris Weaver, a 29-year-old worship from Freeport, NY; Red Marlow, a 40-year-old from Dickson, TN; and Anthony Alexander, a 17-year-old from Fontana, CA.

Each coach was allowed to steal one artist from another team during this round. The artist who was stolen in Tuesday night's broadcast was Hannah Mrozak, an 18-year-old esthetician from Richfield, WI.

All of the contestants got to work with this season's key adviser, first-season American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, throughout "The Knockout Round."

Tuesday night's broadcast began with Jennifer pairing Chris Weaver with a performance of "I Put a Spell On You" by Nina Simone against Katrina Rose, who sang "Zombie" by The Cranberries. Jennifer paired them together because they both have big voices and really know how to interpret a song.

Following the Knockout, Adam compared Chris to a laser beam and Katrina to a flame thrower in terms of how much control they had on the stage, but Blake said he wouldn't change a thing about Katrina's power and energy.

Jennifer then told Katrina she did just enough to smack the audience in the face with her sound while also maintaining subtlety in her voice. As for Chris, Jennifer couldn't deny he's a "freight train," and she declared him the winner since he draws people in when he sings and his voice simply can't be missed.

Next up was Team Blake's Red Marlow, who performed "Outskirts Of Heaven" by Craig Campbell, and Megan Rose, who sang "Smoke Break" by Carrie Underwood. Blake paired these two together because he needed to figure out which lane or genre of country music he'd like to focus on this season going forward.

Adam referred to Red as "an unfiltered, unpretentious great country singer," but at the same time, he said Megan wowed him with her "soaring notes." Miley said it felt like Red just came off his own tour with that performance, but she appreciated the fact Megan is a "headstrong" and "rugged" country female.

After Miley said, however, that she would choose Red to advance if she was Blake because they're "a match made in heaven," Blake seemed to agree because he named Red winner of the Knockout.

Blake thought nerves had played a role in Megan's performance and that she took a step back from "The Battle Round" although she's clearly an incredible vocalist with a wide range.

The last Knockout belonged to Adam's team members Anthony Alexander and Hannah Mrozak. Anthony sang "Mercy" by Shawn Mendes, while Hannah belted out a Christina Aguilera-style "Love On the Brain" by Rihanna. Adam had paired them together because they are both young and unique pop singers.

After the performances, Blake acknowledged that nerves appeared to have gotten ahold of Anthony, mainly when he was singing in his lower register. Jennifer agreed with Blake but thought Anthony's struggle came from the fact he was so passionate onstage.

Meanwhile, Hannah seemed comfortable and confident during her Knockout performance, but Miley advised her to let people in more when she performs by opening herself up. Miley then told Anthony that he should practice how to work the stage more.

With all that being said, Adam admitted, "I hate my life," when having to make this decision.

However, Adam declared Anthony winner of the Knockout since he has something special in him and hasn't fully cooked yet. Adam liked the idea of being able to work with Anthony longer to mold him into a better vocalist. Adam called Anthony "a raw, uncut diamond" and went with his heart when making this choice.

But Hannah's "amazing" talent and passion didn't go unnoticed, as Jennifer opted to steal the artist for her own team. Jennifer explained that Hannah has a story to tell, and even Miley confessed that she would've attempted to steal Hannah had she not used hers up already.

Next week will feature a three-day The Voice event from Monday to Wednesday in which the remaining 20 artists, plus four comeback artists, will perform for their coaches in "The Playoffs." The round will eventually narrow the teams down to three members each, with only the Top 12 heading into live shows.
