The WB announced last week that Beauty And The Geek, its new six-episode reality show created by Punk'd producers Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, will premiere Wednesday, June 1 at 8PM ET/PT.

"Beauty and the Geek is the perfect summer show: fun, sexy and brimming with great heart and humor," announced The WB president David Janollari. "Ashton Kutcher and his producing partner Jason Goldberg have brought us a six-episode competition that really freshens the reality genre, and is bound to create buzz and rooting interest among our young audience." "We gave seven guys a fantasy and seven girls a reality check," added Kutcher. "Ultimately, that's what Beauty and the Geek is."
Along the way, each group will be tested on their weaknesses, with the men competing in a massage event and the women competing in tasks including a spelling bee and a rocket launching challenge.
"It's actually quite endearing," Janollari told Zap2It.com when Beauty And The Geek was first announced back in January. "When we started production and brought them into the set and told them the concept for the first time... the girls were like 'Oh, they're so adorable, I can't wait to buy them clothes and teach them to dance' and the guys had the same reaction, 'Oh, they're so lovely, we can teach them math."
