A number of contestants on television's "X Factor" had to change Los Angeles hotels after they were assaulted by bed bugs, sources told TMZ.com.

The Web site said at least four contestants on the Fox program awoke this week to find themselves covered with bites and had to be relocated by the show's producers.

Sources close to the contestants said the hotel acknowledged the problem; however, the hotel declined comment to TMZ.
