"I'm just so honored to have gone through this experience. We're so grateful. Our fans are so supportive. We love them to death. They've been awesome voting for us. I know you guys voted your butts off. It's all good. We love you, and we're going to continue doing music!" Wesley said following his group's ouster.
Emblem 3 was automatically eliminated without any discussion or voting from The X Factor judges after the guys were declared the fourth-place act at the bottom of the leaderboard. Emblem 3 was one of the two remaining acts, along with Fifth Harmony, in judge Simon Cowell's "Groups" category.
"You know, I mean, this is the way it goes on competitions. I'm gutted really for them, because I thought they had a fantastic night last night. But that's -- it happens. I'm very, very disappointed. But you know what? And I really mean this. You are going to have a huge career after this," Cowell told his act.
In addition to Fifth Harmony, the remaining finalists heading into next week's The X Factor finale are Carly Rose Sonenclar, a 13-year-old from Mamaroneck, NY, and Tate Stevens, a 37-year-old from Raymore, MO.
Fifth Harmony is comprised of members Ally Brooke, a 19-year-old from Santa Ana, CA; Camila Cabello, a 15-year-old from San Antonio, TX; Normani Hamilton, a 16-year-old from Miami, FL; Dinah Jane Hansen, a 15-year-old from Miami, FL; and Lauren Jauregui, a 16-year-old from Court Pearland, TX.
Although not necessarily in the bottom two, Sonenclar was up against Emblem 3 to go home at the end of last night's broadcast. When the singer learned she had made it to next week's final performance show, she was thrilled.
"I don't even know what to say. Thank you so much for voting, and Emblem 3, I know that you're going to go so far and I cannot wait to buy your album. Thank you so much for voting. It means the world to me!" Sonenclar explained.
Sonenclar is the sole remaining member of judge Britney Spears' "Teens" category. Stevens is the last person standing in judge L.A. Reid's "Over 25s" category, and Fifth Harmony is now the only remaining act in Cowell's "Groups" category.
Following next Wednesday night's performance show, a winner will be crowned and receive a $5 million recording contract on The X Factor's final live results show on Thursday.
