The X Factor eliminated Jason Brock and determined its Top 12 second-season finalist acts Thursday night during the Fox reality singing competition's first live results show.

Due to the deadlock, Brock, a 35-year-old from San Francisco, CA, was then automatically eliminated due to his status as the week's lowest vote-getter.
"I feel like I want to say I did it for the gays and Japan, but I'm really happy to have been here," Brock said following his ouster.
Brock was being mentored in the "Over 25s" category by Reid, while Frey is one of the "Young Adults" (17-24) category acts Lovato is mentoring.
"I'm still proud of him. Every time he sings, he sings from his heart. He was very entertaining and I really loved working with you [Jason]. It really makes me sad to see you go. Keep doing it," Reid said.
"I'm sorry too, but it was great working with you. It was an honor and a privilege. You are a legend and so talented. Thank you," Brock told Reid.
As the bottom two acts, Brock and Frey were required to "sing for their survival" in the hopes The X Factor judges would vote to keep them on the show. After the singers performed, the judges offered them feedback and then cast their votes for whom they believed should remain in the competition.
In the event of a 2-2 tie, Lopez explained it would be a deadlock and the act who had received the lowest amount of home viewer votes would automatically be eliminated.
"The act I'm sending home tonight is Jason Brock," Lovato told the co-hosts.
"Okay, I'm sorry, I'm going to have to send Cece home," Reid announced.
Since Lovato and Reid both predictably voted to keep their own acts in the competition, the decision of which artist would get to continue on and sing next week was largely on Spears and Cowell's shoulders.
"The act I'm sending home tonight is Cece," Spears noted.

"The name of the act I'm sending home is Jason," Cowell said.
Lopez then announced Brock had received the lowest number of votes and would be ousted from the competition.
At the end of last night's broadcast, following Brock's elimination, Lopez and Kardashian announced the order of which the remaining finalist acts had finished based upon the number of home viewer votes they had received after Wednesday night's performance show. Twelfth place received the least amount of votes, while first place earned the most.
Lopez and Kardashian revealed the results starting from twelfth place, which obviously went to Frey. Arin Ray, a 17-year-old from Cincinnati, OH, finished eleventh, while Beatrice Miller, a 13-year-old from Maplewood, NJ, finished in tenth place.
Lyric 145 secured ninth place, eighth place went to Paige Thomas, a 22-year-old from San Antonio, TX, and Jennel Garcia, an 18-year-old from Rochester, MA, finished in seventh place. Sixth place went to Emblem 3, while Fifth Harmony finished in fifth place. Diamond White, a 13-year-old from Los Angeles, CA, landed in fourth place, and Vino Alan, a 40-year-old from Laquey, MO, claimed third.
Carly Rose Sonenclar, a 13-year-old from Mamaroneck, NY, and Tate Stevens, a 37-year-old from Raymore, MO, were revealed to be the week's Top 2 acts. Sonenclar finished in second place, while Stevens claimed the number one top spot.
In addition to Frey, Garcia and Thomas are the other acts in Lovato's "Young Adults" category. Miller, Sonenclar and Ray are members of Spears' "Teens" (16 and under) category. Stevens and Alan are the remaining artists in Reid's "Over 25s," while Cowell's "Groups" category features Emblem 3, Fifth Harmony and Lyric 145.
