The X Factor eliminated the two acts that had received the lowest number of home viewer votes and determined its Top 7 acts Wednesday night during the new Fox reality singing competition's fourth live results show.

Lakoda Rayne was automatically eliminated after they were declared the act with the least amount of votes, while Bell was sent home for having the next lowest number of votes after judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and L.A. Reid produced a deadlock -- an event in which they vote a 2-2 tie -- when determining whether he or fellow contestant Marcus Canty, the next lowest vote-getter, should be axed from the show.
"I'm actually feeling okay. It was a great ride. It was a wonderful journey. I learned a lot. I gave it my all tonight and I'm okay," Bell said following his elimination.
Prior to announcing Lakoda Rayne's ouster, Jones called the all-girl act up onstage along with Drew Ryniewicz and revealed that one of the acts would be eliminated while the other would remain in the competition. For coming in last place, Lakoda Rayne was sent home without any discussion or voting from the judges.
"The dream is not over. We're still going to go on and there's so much more for our group," Lakoda Rayne member Paige Ogle said following her group's ouster.
"You'll be seeing Lakoda Rayne in concert everywhere!" Hayley Orrantia added.
Following Lakoda Rayne's exit and the announcement that Drew was safe, Jones revealed that Chris Rene, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro, and "Astro" Brian Bradley had all advanced in the competition -- leaving Bell and Canty up for elimination. According to Jones, the names of the five additional acts who had survived another week were called out in no particular order.
Lakoda Rayne was the only act remaining in Abdul's "Group" category, while both Reid and Cowell's mentored teams remained completely intact. Astro, Rene and Canty were the acts in Reid's "Boys Under 30" category, while Cowell mentored Drew, Amaro and Crow in the "Girls Under 30" category. Scherzinger's two remaining "Over 30" acts consisted of Krajcik and Bell.
As two of the bottom three acts, Bell and Canty were then required to "sing for their survival" in the hopes The X Factor judges would vote to keep them on the show. After the acts performed, the judges offered them feedback and then cast their votes for who they believed should remain in the competition.
In the event of a 2-2 tie, Jones explained it would be a deadlock in which the act who had received the lowest amount of home viewer votes would automatically be eliminated.
Reid and Scherzinger both predictably voted to keep their own acts in the competition, resulting in a deadlock -- which weighed the decision of who would get to continue on and sing next week in Cowell and Abdul's hands.
"Well, it's not that quick, Steve. Marcus, you know that you're one of my favorites. You know that you have the ability to be a massive star. You didn't deliver as much on the 'save me' song as LeRoy did. LeRoy, on the other hand, you did sing for your life," Abdul said.

"I think that both of you are going to go on and have major record deals and sell lots of albums. I hate to do this. I'm going to have to -- based on the 'save me' song, someone that really sang for their lives -- I'm going to have to send home Marcus."
"I like them both. I think in the competition, Marcus, I think your nudging ahead of LeRoy. But LeRoy, you did sing better tonight. I'm going to let the public decide it tonight. I'm going to send home LeRoy," Cowell explained.
"Which means we're in deadlock. The judges lose their power, and we look back at how you at home voted out of Marcus Canty and LeRoy Bell. The act who got the lowest number of votes will be leaving the competition... The act with the lowest number of votes and who America is sending home is LeRoy Bell," Jones announced.
