Project Runway's upcoming sixth season may still be stuck in a litigation limbo, but don't tell that to the show's production staff.

Although the ongoing lawsuit has stopped Lifetime from proceeding with its previous plan to premiere the show's sixth season in January, Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn has confirmed that the show's producers are still planning to tape the season's finale at New York Fashion Week on February 20.
"I'm making my home visits to the finalists starting on Sunday," Gunn told New York Magazine while attending the Geoffrey Beene YMA Fashion Scholarship Dinner in New York City on Wednesday night.
The New York Magazine report did not mention whether Project Runway's sixth season finale fashion show would still be open to the public or how many designers were expected to participate in it.
In order to prevent the premature disclosure of a season's finalists, Project Runway's finale runway shows -- which are usually filmed several weeks before a finale airs but before a season's finale finalists have been revealed on the show's broadcasts -- have traditionally included "decoy" collection presentations from any designer that has yet to be eliminated in broadcasts of the show's already-filmed episodes, not just the finale's actual finalists.

Gunn added that he was still hoping for a resolution to the show's legal battle, which began in April when NBC Universal, the parent company of Bravo, the cable network that aired Project Runway's first five seasons, sued the show's The Weinstein Company production company claiming they had not been given a contractually-mandated chance to match Lifetime's offer before the production company inked a deal to move the show to the women's network beginning with its sixth season.
"It's an incredible season. It really is," Gunn told New York Magazine. "And I just want people to see it. And I want the designers on the show to get the exposure."
