TLC announced it is developing Single Moms, a new The Bachelor-like reality dating series that will follow three women on a cross-country journey to find true love.

The women starring in Single Moms will personally select the bachelors they'd like to meet via the show and then whittle down the suitors over the course of 10 weeks until each has found the family man of their dreams.
"We found a show that we think reflects something that a lot of our audience is going through," TLC programming executive Brant Pinvidic told The New York Post in a Wednesday report. "There are a lot of single parents out there."
While Single Moms is currently slated to premiere in June, The Post reported "no strict set of rules" are in place yet for the show.
"We're sort of still in the formatting stage," Pinvidic told The Post.
Single Moms is a European import, according to The Post, which added the version on the other side of the Atlantic is currently popular in Sweden and Finland and also features three single moms.
Each woman selects roughly 40 suitors and then invites them for a hometown visit, where the bachelors are cut to a crop of around eight. Another bachelor is subsequently booted each week until only two are left, and the two finalists then meet the mom's kids and see if they're a match for the family, The Post reported.
Single Moms is part of a larger slate of new programming that will be mixed with returning TLC shows -- such as Trading Spaces; Little People, Big World; Jon & Kate Plus 8; and What Not To Wear.
TLC is packaging its new and returning programming in the form of "nights themed around things that matter most to the audience and the advertisers." For example, Saturday is themed to "home and decorating" and will thus feature such shows as Trading Spaces, Date My House and Flip That House.
TLC has yet to announce which night of the week will be "themed to relationships," which is when Single Moms would air.
