"Everybody out there just thinks that I'm poor white trash," Harding cried. "Figure skating's very, very expensive, unfortunately. I grew up in a family with not much money at all."
Harding, 35, goes on to describe her abusive childhood and her career-ending scandal involving the attack Nancy Kerrigan.
Harding was banned from professional figure skating as a result of the attack on Kerrigan masterminded by her former husband.
Harding claims in the documentary she knew nothing of the plot against Kerrigan, saying: "I'm not an educated woman. I'm an athlete. I'm a figure skater. And now I have nothing, absolutely nothing."
