Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott have starred in a personal sex tape, and porn company Vivid Entertainment reportedly desperately wants to buy it.

Vivid President Steve Hirsch sent Spelling a letter saying the company would like to make a "substantial offer" to acquire the rights to intimate footage created by the Tori & Dean stars, TMZ reported.
"This is a serious offer for a real tape and it could yield significant returns to help you through your difficult financial situation," Hirsch wrote, according to the website.
However, Hirsch reportedly wants to validate the tape's authenticity by seeing a clip before allegedly purchasing it for several million dollars. The executive reportedly thinks the tape would be a big hit.
Spelling revealed she and McDermott made a sex tape following a romantic Valentine's Day in 2009 in an excerpt from her new memoir, Spelling It Like It Is, Us Weekly reported.

"'Dean said, 'We should tape ourselves having sex.' He had a little portable tripod, and he set up his video camera on it," Spelling reportedly wrote in the book. "Afterward, I checked my angles and they were good, so I allowed him to keep it."
The couple reportedly uploaded the video to their home computer "without password protection," and then a biker "friend" of McDermott's discovered the tape on their hard drive and secretly made a copy of it. According to Us, another pal of McDermott's warned him a couple years later the "friend" was trying to shop the footage around and sell it.
"I was horrified," Spelling reportedly wrote.
But after Spelling's lawyer allegedly sent the thief a cease and desist letter, the reality TV couple never heard of him again and "the incident went away."
Vivid is the same porn company previously behind Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Farrah Abraham's infamous money-making sex tapes.

It remains unclear whether Spelling would actually be interested in selling the tape, as she admitted in her memoir that her family has been struggling financially for some time now.
However, a source told TMZ Spelling is "flat out rejecting" Hirsch's offer for the sex tape.
"She would never entertain an offer like that... ever!" said the source.
