TV Land has announced that its revival of High School Reunion -- a reality series that previously aired three editions on the now defunct The WB -- will premiere Wednesday, August 8.

While partying like it's 1987, the former classmates will also have an opportunity to pursue unresolved relationships; rekindle snuffed out romances; and renew old rivalries.
Executive produced by The Bachelor's Mike Fleiss and Lisa Levinson, High School Reunion is a Warner Horizon and Next Entertainment production. High School Reunion originally aired for three seasons on The WB in 2003 and 2004.
TV Land president Larry W. Jones said High School Reunion's revival is part of the cable network's effort to further cater to Baby Boomers and is one of several new shows the network is targeting towards that generation. Part of that effort is already evident in High School Reunion, which held 10-year reunions for its first three season on The WB before TV Land changed it to a 20-year reunion for the upcoming fourth edition.
"TV Land wants to be the brand that understands and appreciates the entertainment and pro-social needs of Baby Boomers," explained Jones. "By expanding on our reach -- where Boomers comprise roughly 75 percent of our target audience -- TV Land is uniquely positioned to deliver entertainment and effective pro-social messaging that speaks to the life stage and values Boomers are currently experiencing. The days of targeting younger audiences, and hoping mature consumers will follow their lead, is now officially over."
In addition to High School Reunion, other series and pilots announced by TV Land included TV Land Confidential, Back to the Grind, 35 and Beyond Super Model Search, Celebrity Love Cruise, Family Foreman, The Story Of..., and The Big 4-0.
