Canadian-born, former teen idol Corey Haim has announced he is engaged to horror movie actress Tiffany Shepis.
Haim starred in the films "Silver Bullet and "Lucas," as well as numerous films alongside his one-time best friend Corey Feldman, including "The Lost Boys," ""Dream a Little Dream" and "License to Drive." His career derailed due to an addiction to drugs and he was most recently seen with Feldman in the reality TV series "The Two Coreys" and the direct-to-video sequel "Lost Boys: The Tribe."
"A big mazel tov (good luck) goes out to Corey -- he is getting married," said a statement on his official Web site, dated Wednesday. "The lovely lady is Tiffany Shepis. Corey and Tiffany first met 12 years ago while Corey was on set filming 'Fever Lake.' They recently reunited at the Chiller Theatre autograph show and the rest is history. The wedding has been set for May 9, 2009."
The posting also said Haim had to drop out of an appearance at a party at the Virgin Megastore in Los Angeles Thursday because he is "being treated for a nasty case of bronchitis."
According to IMDB, Shepis' acting credits include "Thirsty," "Slumber Party Slaughterhouse: The Game," "Live Evil" and "Zombies! Zombies! Zombies!"
