Tyler Gwozdz's sudden The Bachelorette exit went largely unexplained and left fans in the dark over what actually happened, and now the plot has thickened further as Bekah Martinez says she no longer believes the explanation Tyler gave her.

Viewers received nothing but a one-sentence explanation from Hannah Brown on Monday night's The Bachelorette episode about Tyler's departure -- that he "had to leave" the show and it was "upsetting" because they had developed a connection.

In light of misogynist allegations and rumors Tyler was removed from the show by producers for bad behavior in past relationships, Bekah -- who appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of The Bachelor -- said she "spoke directly" to Tyler G. about the situation during a recent episode of the "Chatty Broads" podcast she co-hosts.

However, shortly after releasing the podcast, Bekah chose to edit and remove the segment which contained Tyler's explanation for his The Bachelorette exit, admitting she does not believe what Tyler, a 28-year-old psychology graduate student from Boca Raton, FL, had to say.

"We have removed a portion of our episode that we initially released early [Tuesday] morning," Bekah wrote on Instagram.

"I spoke directly to Tyler, who claimed that the spitting allegations were false, that he removed himself from the show for an unrelated reason, and that ABC looked into the spitting situation and found no further information."

Bekah added, "I can now say with certainty that I do NOT believe the information he provided me. This morning I spoke with a verified source (who I cannot reveal for privacy reasons)."

"They disclosed that there were additional allegations on top of the spitting incident, and he was subsequently removed from production."

Bekah went on to "sincerely apologize for the initial misinformation!"

Tyler's time on The Bachelorette ended prematurely seemingly due to an anonymous Reddit thread posted in March that accused the bachelor of spitting on an ex-girlfriend and being an "extreme misogynist."

The Reddit user also claimed two of his or her best friends attended high school with Tyler and referred to him as the "biggest a-sh-le douche of all time."

"Posting this from a throwaway account because I'm an active poster and don't want this tied to my account or friends... The story that most caught my attention involves his treatment of an ex," the Reddit user wrote at the time.

"Apparently, he dated a really sweet girl but they would get in public screaming matches often. The relationship ended horrifically -- while in Europe he SPIT ON HER and left. Neither of these friends really watch the show but they cannot believe he's going to be on TV."

The Reddit user then called ABC and producers out, saying, "Why are they doing Hannah like this?"

Another Reddit user then posted claiming they had sent former The Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey -- who played a role in exposing The Bachelorette Season 14 winner Garrett Yrigoyen's sexist and homophobic social-media postings past year -- a direct message about the allegations against Tyler, and Ashley had allegedly replied back saying she would let ABC know about the allegations immediately.

Earlier this week, Tyler also conducted an interview with Refinery29 via messaging and denied the startling allegations against him.

"Addressing totally unsubstantiated rumors posted to Reddit from an anonymous account seems imprudent," Tyler wrote.

"I feel that even addressing them gives them some sort attention and fuel but I continue to have faith in my journey and in a purpose for everything that's happened to me in my life."

Tyler continued, "Above everything else I am a son to my mother. She raised me to be better than these sort of baseless accusations."

"The rumors are so far out of the realm of my personality and values that it seems silly to waste time denying, but I suppose I will for the record. BUT I will be alright."

Tyler insisted his exit was a mutual decision among The Bachelorette producers and himself.

"This was a decision that I came to with producers, and something that I've come to realize what is the best decision that could've been made," Tyler said, alleging that the real reason behind his departure wasn't aired in order to respect his privacy.

Tyler then reportedly ranted about cyberbullying and vented about how "anybody can say anything they want about anybody they want."

"It's having a shocking effect on the younger generation, ESPECIALLY young women. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims of cyberbullying, and bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Please think about what you post," Tyler told Refinery29.

"I am more than happy to take the slings and arrows of the Internet world if it can help save one young person from experiencing what my family and I are currently battling. If you are lost, message me. I'm here for you. Reach out. There is love in this world."

Tyler received the very first one-on-one date of Season 15 with Hannah, and their time together ended with a rose.

After Tyler "had to leave," according to Hannah in the latest episode, she eliminated three more bachelors at the subsequent Rose Ceremony.

Hannah now has 15 men remaining in the running for her heart heading into Episode 4 of The Bachelorette.
