E! Online reported Holleman's suit, filed last Friday in Wake County Superior Court, alleges Aiken directly lessened sales of Holleman's unauthorized biography by publicly stating he was not acquainted with her.

The book, entitled, "Out of the Blue -- 'Clay' It Forward," covers an alleged period in Aiken's life when he and his mother Faye Parker lived with a friend of Holleman's in North Carolina.

In response to the book, Aiken and his mother have openly denied knowing Holleman and have said her 564-page book is full of lies about their family.

The Web report said Holleman is seeking $260,000 in damages from the "Measure of a Man" singer and wants Aiken to not only endorse her work in the book and on his own Web site, but also sell the biography at his concerts for the next five years.
