The May sweeps ratings period is here, and so for UPN, that means broadcasting an update special of the network's top-ranked show of the season -- last winter's America's Next Top Model 2 series. Titled America's Next Top Model: The Runway Ahead the one-hour special, airing Tuesday, May 11 at 9PM ET/PT and repeating Wednesday, May 12 at 9PM ET/PT, will provide viewers with an update as to what life is now like for series winner Yoanna House as well as the program's eleven other beautiful competitors.

After the series finale aired on March 23, the cameras continued to capture key moments in the lives of Yoanna and the other participants who have moved on to successful endeavors. While some participants returned to their hometowns to face family, friends and boyfriends, others went to the Big Apple and Hollywood to further pursue their dreams. The Runway Ahead special will reveal how all of the participants’ personal lives have changed since their experience on the show, and chronicles their triumphs and challenges since being featured on the top-rated UPN series.
The special features a behind-the-scenes look at winner Yoanna’s high-profile publicity appearances and her introduction to the most competitive runways, top models, top designers and top fashion gurus during L.A. Fashion Week, which has become a breeding ground for cutting-edge talent attracting the industry’s prestigious buyers, press and celebrities. Additional footage will showcase winner Yoanna’s big red carpet appearance entrance at the America's Next Top Model finale party as well as her return home to visit her mom.
The special also takes a personal look into Shandi’s relationship with her boyfriend, who discusses how their lives have changed since her adventures in Milan. Mercedes will also provide an update on how she is managing her battle with Lupus. Additionally, the cameras follow participants April, Camille, Sara, Catie, Xiomara, Jenascia, Heather, Bethany and Anna, who continue to rely on each other for advice, companionship and even a place to sleep, as they pursue their shared dreams. Additional footage will include Sara’s sexy photo shoot for a spread in Maxim magazine, Camille’s reception by her former college-mates when she returned to Howard University, and April’s trip back to New York to make an appearance at Judge Nigel Barker’s private soiree.
