UPN announced today that America's Next Top Model - Cycle 6, the sixth edition of its Tyra Banks-hosted reality modeling talent competition series, will debut with a special two-hour premiere on Wednesday, March 8 at 8PM/PT.

However, as has now become customary for the show, Top Model 6's premiere won't be the broadcast that marks the hit reality show's return to UPN's midseason schedule. Instead, as it has for several seasons now, UPN will begin Top Model's new season with a one-hour special (airing Wednesday, March 1 at 8PM ET/PT) that will take a look at how some of the show's previous contestants are doing now.
Normally, Top Model's pre-premiere specials have focused on how the girls of the most recently completed season are now doing, however, given that UPN just aired a Top Model 5 reunion special the week after December's broadcast of Top Model 5's finale, that's not really an option for this season.
Instead, UPN has put together America's Next Top Model: Where The Girls Are -- a brand new special that will take a more "in-depth, personal look" at how the lives and careers of an assortment of Top Model's previous participants changed after appearing on the show. Among those featured in the special will be Top Model 5 winner Nicole Linkletter, Top Model 3 winner Eva Pigford, Top Model 2 winner Yoanna House, and Camille McDonald, who finished fifth during Yoanna's season.
When Top Model 6 premieres the following week, viewers will meet the new season's thirteen wannabe models (the same number of contestants that last fall's Top Model 5 featured.) But unlike last season, Top Model 6 won't feature a dramatic shakeup of the show's judging panel -- last season's new judging panel will be returning unchanged for Top Model 6, with former supermodel Twiggy, photographer Nigel Barker, and runway expert J. Alexander all once again serving on the panel with Tyra. As in previous seasons, Top Model 6 will also feature additional special guest judges.
