Utopia's first few days are apparently off to a less than perfect start.

Andrea Cox, 38, was reportedly given the boot "due to violation of production policies" when, according to sources, she used her cellphone while sequestered in a hotel to learn the identities of her castmates and attempt to track them down. Producers caught Cox scheming and will announce replacement details soon.
In addition, a Utopia representative told TMZ that Hex Vanisles, 25, was forced to leave the show via ambulance on Saturday morning due to dehydration and had to be taken to Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia for "precautionary measures." Vanisles didn't have a hospital or doctors at her disposal on the show.
Vanisles was treated for about five hours, according to the website, but later returned to continue filming Utopia.
Utopia is a new reality series, a Big Brother and Survivor blend, which will feature 14 "pioneers" -- although it was supposed to star 15 contestants, including Cox, before filming began on Friday -- surviving at an isolated, undeveloped location for an entire year while attempting to build a brand new society from complete scratch.
"Inhabitants" are recorded 24/7 and live feeds are now available online to watch on UtopiaTV.com and the Utopia phone application for iOS, Android and Windows. However, Vanisles' medical incident was reportedly not caught on camera for viewing.
Utopia is set to premiere on Sunday, September 7 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.
