VH1 has announced Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch, a new reality dating series starring NFL wide receiver and former Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant Chad Ochocinco, will premiere with a special 90-minute episode on Sunday, July 11 at 9PM ET/PT.

The Ultimate Catch will begin with the 32-year-old Cincinnati Bengals receiver meeting his 85 bachelorettes at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA before narrowing the field down to 17 during the premiere episode.
The competition will then follow a bracket-type format as the bachelorettes will have an opportunity to vie for his affection on double-date face-offs. The winner of each double-date face-off will move to the next round of the tournament, while the loser is eliminated.
The bachelorettes will eventually be narrowed to two, who will compete on a "championship date" that will conclude with Ochocinco awarding one of them a "Championship Ring."
Ochocinco will receive help throughout the series from friend and fellow NFL wide receiver Bernard Berrian.

Ochocinco competed on Dancing with the Stars tenth season earlier this year, which producer Bob Horowitz previously stated delayed production of the new VH1 reality dating series.
VH1 ordered The Ultimate Catch in March under the working title The Tournament.
Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch will serve as the lead-in for The T.O. Show's second season, which premieres Sunday, July 11 at 10:30PM ET/PT before moving to its regular Sundays at 10PM ET/PT timeslot the following week.
