Once the women have completed the lessons, they are sent out on dates with men hand-picked by Ward from his pool of eligible bachelors.
Tough Love's first season premiered in March and averaged 1.9 million viewers over its eight-episode run.
"Audiences couldn't get enough of Steven's brand of tough love and brutal honesty, which is why we wanted to bring the show back for a second season," said VH1 programming executive Jeff Olde.
"Our viewers truly connected with the highs and lows of dating experienced by each woman on the show as well as Steven's distinctive male perspective. We hope to emulate what made this first season succeed, in order to give our viewers programming that resonates with their day to day life."
Tough Love is produced by Drew Barrymore's Flower Films and High Noon Entertainment.
