VH1 has revealed the identities of the seven Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew second-season participants, who will receive detoxification and treatment from David Drew "Dr. Drew" Pinsky and his staff.

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew's cast consists of American Idol first-season third-place finisher Nikki McKibbon; former Sons of Hollywood star Sean Stewart; model and actress Amber Smith; former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler; actress and The Surreal Life sixth-season houseguest Tawny Kitaen; and former police brutality victim Rodney King.

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew first-season participant Jeff Conaway -- a former Celebrity Fit Club third-season contestant who was rushed to the hospital during filming for Celebrity Rehab's first season after experiencing a seizure -- will also participate in the show's second installment after "a series of back surgeries, setbacks and subsequent reliance on pain medications," according to VH1.

Unlike Conaway, fellow Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew first-season participant and former Idol fourth-season finalist Jessica Sierra will not be participating in the show's second edition.

Sierra, currently in the midst of her yearlong rehab stint at California's Pasadena Recovery Center, had recently expressed interest in joining the second season's cast. 

However Hillsborough County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Perry had previously stated he doesn't want Sierra to use treatment as a way to aid her celebrity status and thus "glamorize" being a drug addict.  At a January hearing, he ordered she stay at least 100 yards from microphones and cameras.

Since Sierra's probation violation case is in the books, the 23-year-old's case has returned to the court division run by Judge Greg Holder, and her attorney John Fitzgibbons filed a request with Holder last week to set Perry's previous ruling aside. 

But in a court document filed last Wednesday, Fitzgibbons withdrew his request and stated VH1 had an unidentified change in production that made Sierra's request to appear before the cameras "moot," The Tampa Tribune reported.

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew's second season will follow a similar format to its first installment that aired earlier this year, with the seven participants undergoing an intensive 21-day program with both group and one-on-one therapy and non-traditional therapies like art and music.

Returning to aid Pinsky for the show's second season are drug counselor Bob Forrest and resident technician Shelly Sprague, as well as physicians who will provide the patients supplementary one-on-one care.  The participants' family members will also be involved in filming for the show's second season, with some receiving treatment themselves.

Gary Busey -- who has been 13 years sober from his cocaine addiction -- will also join the second-season cast to share his experiences on the recovery process with the participants.

Once the 21-day program is completed, the participants will be encouraged to continue their treatment in a sober living facility or treatment center for at least three months at VH1's expense.

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew's second season is currently scheduled to premiere in October.

The eight-episode series is executive produced by John Irwin and Damian Sullivan for Irwin Entertainment. Pinsky and Howard Lapides are also executive producing. Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes and Noah Pollack are executive producers for VH1.
