While she's publicly presented herself as single, Whitney Duncan was married while filming Survivor: South Pacific and her marriage ended after she began a relationship with fellow castaway Keith Tollefson.

Duncan, a 27-year-old country singer and former Nashville Star finalist from Nashville, TN, secretly wed Donny Fallgatter -- a 32-year-old from Bismarck, ND who is the lead singer for the band KingBilly -- on August 1, 2010 in Gatlinburg, TN, People reported.

The couple reportedly met in June 2010 during the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, and according to Fallgatter's bandmate, they made an instant connection.

"They were good together, and they looked good together," the source told People. "They both fell hard."

Duncan and Fallgatter reportedly announced they had gotten engaged to their friends and family just before Duncan left to film Survivor but hid the fact they were already husband and wife.

Fallgatter was allegedly "totally faithful while she was gone" and "even went to help out at her parents' house in West Tennessee a couple times" while Duncan was away competing on the show, a source told People.

However, Duncan later revealed her Survivor affair to Fallgatter through a series of phone calls before she returned home.

[During one phone call], Fallgatter "said she sounded weird, like something was up, and not like she was looking forward to seeing him," the source said, adding that in a subsequent phone call, Duncan admitted to Fallgatter she had gotten intimately involved with Tollefson.

"Donny sent me a text that said, 'Whitney got into a Survivor relationship.' I called him and he was really upset so I went over to his place. That's when he told me that she wasn't his fiancee, but his wife, that they had gotten married the summer before. I was totally shocked."

Duncan reportedly lived with Fallgatter and sometimes traveled and performed with his band while they were on tour before leaving to film Survivor. Following her stint on Survivor, Duncan moved out of Fallgatter's home.

"Moving furniture all day... sweeet. I'm gonna be really happy when I get a home one day and never have to move again," Duncan wrote on her Twitter account in late August.

Shortly afterwards, Duncan and Tollefson were seen together around Nashville and she mentioned a boyfriend in multiple tweets.

A Tennessee judge heard Duncan and Fallgatter's divorce filing on November 8 and granted it. However, the divorce will not become final until signed papers are returned to the courthouse, according to People.
