Whitney Houston's hologram will not appear on next week's finale of "The Voice" after a clip of the duet with Christina Aguilera leaked this week.
"We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists," Houston wrote.
"Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect...We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless."
TMZ reported Houston's camp didn't feel the hologram looked like the star.
The official cancelation of the broadcast comes shortly after an alleged video clip of the whole performance leaked online, showing Aguilera and Houston sharing a stage as they sing "I Have Nothing" and "I'm Every Woman."Earlier this month, Aguielera was pushed to reveal some details about the surprise performance, set for the finale of "The Voice" later this month.
"I am sworn to secrecy," she told "Entertainment Tonight" on May 9. "I can't say anything, but I'm very excited about the finale. Very exciting things happening."
