Charity thought her first kiss with Xavier was "almost too good to be true" on The Bachelorette, and she quickly found him to be funny and flirtatious.
While Charity and Xavier had a great time together, he apparently reminded her of an ex-boyfriend who didn't treat her right.
Charity therefore set out to discover if Xavier could be more than "boyfriend material" during their first one-on-one date in Washington, when Xavier finally opened up about his job, his family and his passions.
"I feel my whole outlook on him has changed, in the best way," Charity told the cameras. "I'm following my intuition, and it says all good signs are pointing to Xavier."
But before accepting his Final 4 rose, Xavier shared with Charity how the idea of committing himself to one person forever scared him.
"[An engagement] scares me because it's something I've never done before, and I want to do it once and I want to do it right. There has to be no doubt there," Xavier explained to the Bachelorette.
"I know I want to get engaged and I know I want to get married; it's a question of is that you?... I'm trying to gain any sense of clarity. I don't know what that thing is that's going to make me fall in love. It's just going to happen."
But Xavier thought he could get there with Charity, and he's about to introduce her to his family on the next The Bachelorette episode.

After two years of "triumphs and tribulations," according to Xavier's Instagram account, he became a PhD candidate in Spring 2020.

Xavier's parents, who have been happily married for 30 years, embody the type of relationship he wants to find. His father is actually his mother's primary caregiver.
Xavier says he most admires his mom and wants to find a partner who can give their future children the same kind of love he had received as a kid.
ABC says that Xavier brings brains and charisma to a relationship
Xavier says he wants to get married and shower his significant other with compliments because he genuinely wants to see his partner happy. He has no problem being open and vulnerable with a woman.Xavier is also well-rounded in that he plays the ukulele and even loves to knit.
But Xavier's future wife will have to be okay with the fact he's a self-declared "gamer" and loves playing video games in his free time.
Xavier played Rugby in college and minored in Mathematics
Xavier attended Morehouse College from 2013-2018. He graduated with a major in Physics and Computer Science and minored in Mathematics.While in school, Xavier was a member of the Society of Physics Students, the Biophysical Society, and the Morehouse College Rugby Club. He was also the MBRS RISE Scholar and the Amgen Scholar.
Xavier then received his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics in 2023. He played on the UNC Intramural Basketball team.

Part of the reason Charity gave her First Impression Rose to Brayden Bowers was because she thought he was the best kisser.But Charity revealed on Us Weekly's "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast that "next in line would've probably been Xavier."

The Bachelorette suitor reveals his fear when it comes to dating
Xavier says that he gives all of himself to a relationship and his fear is not having his strong feelings reciprocated from a woman he's dating.In past relationships, Xavier claims he had to constantly ask for things he needed -- even on an emotional level.
