Bennett Miller Biography

Bennett Miller (born December 30, 1966) is an American film director.

Miller is the director of the feature Moneyball (2011). He also directed Capote (2005), a film for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Director and the documentary film The Cruise (1998). He has also directed television commercials and music videos, most recently Bob Dylan's "When the Deal Goes Down."

Personal life

Bennett was born in New York City and has known writer Dan Futterman and actor Philip Seymour Hoffman since their childhood. He and Futterman were classmates at Mamaroneck High School, and all three were graduates of the 1984 NYSSSA School of Theatre.
