Catherine Calvert Brief Biography

Catherine Calvert, (born Catherine Cassidy, April 20, 1890 – January 18, 1971) as she was known on the screen, or Mrs. Paul Armstrong, as she was in real life, was born in Baltimore, Md., and after many years experience on time stage in "Brown of Harvard," "The Deep Purple," a play from the pen of her husband, and many other productions she entered the realm of screenland via the Keeney Pictures Corporation in "A Romance of the Underworld," a play in which she had played in on the legitimate stage. Other screen plays in which she had appeared are "Marriage," "Out of the Night," "Career of Katherine Bush," "A Marriage of Convenience" and "Fires of Faith." Vitagraph Studios announced Miss Calvert as their newest star.
