Chad Duell Biography

Chad Lewis Duell (born September 14, 1987) is an American actor. He is best known for playing Michael Corinthos III on the American soap opera General Hospital. He took over the role from Drew Garrett on April 20, 2010.

Duell's portrayal of Michael Corinthos III garnered him nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series in 2011 and 2012.

Life and career

Duell attended Mountainside Middle School and graduated from Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona where he played football and participated in the theater program. After graduating, Duell moved to Los Angeles where he landed a minor role on Disney's hit sitcom, The Suite Life on Deck. Duell also booked a minor role on another Disney series, The Wizards of Waverly Place. Duell would later replace Drew Garrett as Michael Corinthos on General Hospital in April 2010. On August 26, 2011, Duell proposed to his girlfriend of nine months, Taylor Novack in Disney World. The couple married in a private ceremony on September 15, 2012. In January 2013, Soaps In Depth confirmed that marriage was annulled in late 2012 with Duell saying that it was too soon. Duell is currently dating his General Hospital co-star Kristen Alderson.
