Fox's 'American Idol 4' premieres to record ratings

Many television industry insiders - including Fox's own network president Gail Berman -- had doubted whether American Idol could continue its monster ratings numbers as the now "maturing" show entered its fourth season. Well, if the preliminary ratings numbers for last night's special two-hour Idol debut are any indication, the fourth season will not only match the ratings highs of last year's American Idol 3, but may very well even exceed them.

Filmed under the working title of Big Shot and leaked by NBC Entertainment president Jeff Zucker back in May, My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss will premiere on Sunday, November 7 at 9PM and follow twelve eager young entrepreneurs as they compete in a The Apprentice-like reality show that is actually an elaborate hoax.
Fox cancels 'Next Great Champ's return, dumps the boxing reality show on Fox Sports Net

Fox has KO'd its own The Next Great Champ reality boxing series, announcing that despite its previous announcement, the low rated series will not be returning to the airwaves after a short two-week hiatus. Instead, the network has cancelled all future broadcasts of the series, with the remaining six episodes of the ten episode series now scheduled for broadcast on the media conglomerate's Fox Sports Net network of regional cable sports channels.
