NBC's 'Fear Factor' to return June 6, air its final thirteen episodes

NBC has announced that Fear Factor, pulled from the airwaves after an unsuccessful relaunch attempt this past winter, will return to the airwaves with thirteen all-new episodes beginning Tuesday, June 6 at 8PM ET/PT.

NBC has announced that Fear Factor will end its fall hiatus and return to the network's regular programming lineup beginning December 6. Fear Factor will take over the Tuesday 8PM ET/PT time period that is presently occupied by The Biggest Loser, the weight loss reality show that is currently midway through the broadcast of its second season.

NBC renews 'Fear Factor' for three more years

E! Online reports that NBC has renewed its reality hit Fear Factor for three more years. The contract between show producer Endemol (which also produces CBS's Big Brother) and NBC was set to expire at the end of the upcoming season, but it will now extend until May 2007. The deal also grants NBC exclusive syndication rights, so that NBC will be able to sell the rerun rights to the show.
'Last Comic Standing' to premiere with back-to-back episodes on June 10th

NBC’s has announced that “Last Comic Standing: A Search for the Funniest Person in America” will premiere on Tuesday, June 10 with back-to-back episodes from 9-11PM ET and will be hosted by comedian Jay Mohr (“Jerry Maguire”), who also serves as executive producer. During the two-hour premiere’s first hour, viewers of the unscripted competition series will be introduced to aspiring comedians selected from nationwide regional searches as they compete for an exclusive talent contract and a Comedy Central special.
