John Irwin Biography

John Irwin is a television producer and president of Irwin Entertainment, Inc., a television production company most well known for its comedy, reality and live entertainment programming.

Career

Prior to forming Irwin Entertainment Inc., Irwin spent four years as a producer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, two years as a producer for Mad TV, and five years as Vice President of Development and Production for Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video. Irwin's additional executive producer credits include NBC's Countdown to the Emmys, Macy's 4th of July Fireworks, Fox's Mid-Nightly News, Scriptless (THE N), It's Only MTV But I Like It, E!'s The Katie Brown Workshop and TLC's Planets & Possibilities. Irwin's supervising producer credits include The Colin Quinn Show, 75th Anniversary of NBC, Russell Simmons' Def Poetry, P. Diddy Presents Bad Boys of Comedy and The Chevy Chase Show. Irwin founded Irwin Entertainment, Inc. in 2004 and has numerous projects in production and development with various networks including VH1, HBO, CMT, PBS, Comedy Central and Animal Planet. Some of Irwin's most recent credits include VH1's series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House and Sex Rehab.

Additionally, Irwin is producing All Jacked Up, a new series for CMT premiering August 22, 2010 and starring C. Thomas Howell. On the comedy front, Irwin just finished shooting a standup special with Nick Swardson for Comedy Central.

Irwin's other credits include CMT's Barely Famous with The Warren Brothers, and other HBO productions such as Down and Dirty with Jim Norton, Brave New Voices, several comedy specials including Jim Norton - Monster Rain, Dave Attell " Captain Miserable and Bob Saget - That Ain't Right.
