Katy Mixon Biography

Katy Mixon is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as April Buchanon on HBO's Eastbound & Down and Victoria Flynn on the CBS television comedy series Mike & Molly.

Career

Katy's first acting job came in 2001, playing Calpurnia in the Utah Shakespearean Festival's presentation of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Katy reportedly dated Food Network celebrity chef, Bobby Deen, in 2009-10 when they publicly appeared together on an episode of the Paula Deen cooking show and at other events.

Katy moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2003. In 2005, she starred in the premiere of the interactive theater play American Standard at the Los Angeles Edgefest. Katy has performed at Upright Cabaret. Her first role in a major motion picture was in the 2005 thriller The Quiet, playing the character Michelle Fell.

As of 2012, she is a regular cast member on the CBS TV series Mike & Molly. HBO's baseball comedy Eastbound & Down, thought to have finished its run in 2012 after three critically acclaimed seasons, was recently announced to be returning for a fourth season. There is no confirmation yet whether Katy will reprise her role as April Buchanon.
