The pair declares that Kaz, Oliver, and Skylar will be eliminated as well as anyone else that protects them. Kaz runs off to find the culprits and meets them in an alley. Roman and Riker believe being powerless is worse than death and want to eliminate Kaz and Oliver in revenge. They are shape-shifters who form into a cloud as soon as Bree, Chase, Oliver, and Skylar arrive and scatter the heroes with a blast. Roman and Riker take Skylar away, while the others are out cold. The team searches for her. The remaining heroes locate the villains and Skylar, and Oliver freezes the cloud that Roman and Riker form into.
