Lyn Vaughn is an American news anchor who is most notable for her stint on Headline News from 1984 to 1997.

Vaughn left CNN in 1997 for many reasons, mainly because she was tired of doing four hour shifts, repeating the same stories in different ways, and just wanted a change. She later took a job at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia anchoring the 5 and 11 PM news, then returned to Atlanta with her husband three years. later taking a job at the district attorney's office. Vaughn was a keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of Troy University's 2010 leadership conference in Troy, AL;
