Mississippi Grind is an upcoming American comedy drama film directed and written by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Sienna Miller, Ben Mendelsohn and Analeigh Tipton.

Plot

A gambler on a losing streak teams up with a younger gambler, hoping to change his luck.

On August 15, 2012 Jake Gyllenhaal was in talks to join Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck on their gambling project, duo will direct the film Mississippi Grind penned by themselves. On January 7, 2013 Ben Mendelsohn joined the cast of the film, he'll star opposite Gyllenhaal. On February 1, 2013 it was announced that Panorama Media will produce the road trip drama Mississippi Grind, which Electric City Entertainment is also producing. On June 27, 2013, Ryan Reynolds joined the cast of the film to play lead, as a gambler replacing Gyllenhaal in the cast. On November 6, 2013 Sienna Miller set to star the lead role in the film along Reynolds and Mendelsohn, production st to start in January 2014 in New Orleans. On January 8, 2014 there was a casting call for extras, to film some scenes at dog tracks in Mobile. On January 27, 2014 Analeigh Tipton has signed on to join the gambling film.

Filming

The filming of the Mississippi Grind began on January 19, 2014 in Mobile, Alabama and it will go on through March 6th. The shooting will also be done in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On February 4th, Reynolds and Miller were spotted filming scenes on Mississippi River.
