Rebecca Wisocky Biography

Rebecca Wisocky is an American film, television and stage actress. She is currently starring as Evelyn Powell in Lifetime comedy-drama series Devious Maids.

Life and career

Wisocky graduated New York University from the Experimental Theatre Wingappeared and later performed in many stage productions, most notably Amazons and Their Men (2008) for which she won an Obie Award. On television, she guest starred in Sex and the City, Law & Order, The Sopranos, NCIS, Bones, Big Love, True Blood and played recurring roles in 90210, The Mentalist and American Horror Story.

In early 2012 Marc Cherry cast Wisocky in his pilot Devious Maids as Evelyn Ford, the main antagonist of the show. Previously, she played Bree's Mother on Desperate Housewives. The series was originally in development to air on ABC, but not picked. On June 2012, Lifetime picked up the pilot with a thirteen-episode order to air on early 2013.
