ABC reveals 'Dancing with the Stars' fifth-season cast identities

ABC has revealed the identities of the 12 celebrities -- the show's biggest group yet -- who will be waltzing their way into primetime when Dancing with the Stars' fifth season premieres with a 90-minute performance episode on Monday, September 24 at 8PM ET/PT.

Athletes Apolo Anton Ohno and Emmitt Smith have both captured Dancing with the Stars' mirror ball trophy as celebrity participants, and now former The Benefactor star Mark Cuban is apparently hoping that track record carries over to sports' team owners.

In fact, the push for more reality TV became so severe that one network (Fox) resorted to the blatant theft of other networks' ideas. It looks like ABC has found its own reality version of NBC and CBS's ever-expanding Law & Order and CSI franchises. The alphabet network has announced that starting in January it will be adding a third weekly Extreme Makeover series to its lineup -- the double-coloned Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: How'd They Do That? spinoff of its smash-hit Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series.
Fox's 'The Rebel Billionaire' struggles in debut, draws only 5.1 million viewers

Richard Branson might be a billionaire, but as Mark Cuban learned earlier this fall when his ABC The Benefactor series struggled, in addition to happiness, money also apparently can't buy Nielsen ratings.
