Yana Alexandrovna Buchina (born February 7, 1992) is a junior Russian tennis player playing in the ITF Women's Circuit. Her highest WTA singles ranking is 334, which she reached on 12 August 2013. Her highest WTA doubles ranking is 569, which she reached on 05 March 2012.

Personal life

Yana Buchina was born to Alexander and Lillia Buchina. She was born on February 7, 1992 in Moscow, Russia, where she currently resides. Yana Buchina speaks Russian and English. Her favourite surfaces are grass and hard. She is currently coached by her father Alexander Buchin and by Eugenia Maniokova.

Tennis career

Junior career

In 2009, she played in the third round of the 2009 Australian Open girls' singles event, and the first round of the girls' doubles event, partnering Heather Watson. The duo lost to Viktoria Kamenskaya and Karina Pimkina 7-5, 6-4. She reached the second round of the 2009 French Open girls' event and the semi-finals of the doubles. Yana lost in the third round of girls' singles event and in the third round of the doubles at the 2009 Wimbledon Championships. And at 2009 US Open, she lost in the final of the singles event to Heather Watson from the Great Britain with a score 6-4 and 6-1 .

In 2010, she lost in the third round of the girls' singles event at the 2010 Australian Open.
