Based on the fact that its ratings have been in a tailspin for over a year now, America's interest in ABC's The Bachelor would seem to be well on the wane -- to the point where it's now questionable if the series will even be part of the network's Fall 2005 schedule. However, up in Canada, The Bachelor's status as one of the few American reality shows that allows Canadians contestants has apparently kept the public's interest levels high -- at least among the western Canadian city of Edmonton, Alberta that has three of its native women competing on the show. Confirming earlier reports, ABC has announced that minor celebrity Charlie O'Connell will serve as the star of its seventh The Bachelor edition.
