Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie from the Charlotte, NC, area appeared on Season 9 of Married at First Sight in 2019.

Deonna and Greg's relationship was a slow burn, mainly on Deonna's end because she wanted to take her time and develop feelings organically.

Deonna struggled to express her emotions and communicate with Greg, especially because she hadn't been in a relationship for 10 years prior to marrying at first sight, but she put in the work and made improvements over time.

As for Greg, he strived to be patient and not overthink things.

The couple had a solid romance throughout the season and felt they had been matched pretty perfectly.

On "Decision Day," Deonna and Greg mutually opted to stay married and continue their relationship.

Both spouses also admitted they were falling in love with each other.

In December 2019, Deonna and Greg celebrated their first holiday season together with an ugly Christmas sweater party.

"Thanks to everyone that came and celebrated with us tonight! Our first ever Ugly Christmas Sweater Party was a success!! Definitely will be doing again next year!! Merry Christmas y’all, love all of you!!" Deonna captioned a slideshow of images on Instagram.

In September 2020, Deonna and Greg announced they were expecting their first child together.

"It’s true, we're expanding our family!!" Deonna captioned an Instagram photo showing the couple holding a "Okotie Party of 3" sign that she posted shortly after Lifetime's Thursday night broadcast of Married at First Sight: Couples Cam concluded with Deonna appearing to discover a pregnancy test she had taken was positive.

"What a blessing?! Thank you all for all of the well wishes and blessings on our family," she continued. "Yay! [Our dog] Sandy is going to be a big sister!"

In February 2020, Deonna gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby boy.

Deonna and Greg's son, Declan Okotie, was born on February 27 at 8:44PM weighing six pounds and nine ounces.

"We're all healthy and doing well, just happy to be home as a family of three!"
