Ratings: Special two-hour premiere of 'Fear Factor' draws 13.8 million viewers

NBC got the 2003-04 prime-time season off to a sizzling start last night, as a two-hour “Fear Factor” teamed with the debut of “Las Vegas” to deliver NBC’s first outright victory among adults 18-49 on a premiere Monday in the 15 years since 1988. E! Online reports that NBC has renewed its reality hit Fear Factor for three more years. The contract between show producer Endemol (which also produces CBS's Big Brother) and NBC was set to expire at the end of the upcoming season, but it will now extend until May 2007. NBC has announced that production has begun in Los Angeles on the fourth season of NBC’s top-rated reality series Fear Factor” and it will feature many special editions of the program. NBC Enterprises and Endemol USA have announced that they are teaming up with ARUSH Entertainment and Playinteractive, LLP to create, market and distribute interactive video games based on the hit NBC series Fear Factor™. Tentatively titled Fear Factor: Unleashed, the games are targeted to be in stores in 2004.
