  • Residents in Protest Over Survivor 3

    Controversy continued to rage yesterday over the shooting of Survivor 3 in a game reserve along the Isiolo-Samburu border, as residents from Samburu's Archer's Post trading centre staged a protest on Friday morning.

    Councillor Fabin Lelosori told journalists the movie firm was working without their permission. "We strongly condemn this action on our land without entering any agreement with us or paying any money to our council," he said.

    Mr Lelosori said the shooting of Survival Series Three was being done in the Lodungo'kwe area. He said he had briefed the council on the matter and that they were to conduct a special meeting to discuss it today."

  • Survivor Cast to Arrive in Shaba

    Kenya's "Daily Nation" reports that the 16 Survivor Cast members are set to arrive in Shaba on Sunday, July 8, 2001. It claims that filming will begin 3 days after their arrival.

  • CBS Announces Taking Of Applications For Survivor III

    OK, for all the people who keep emailing us asking how to be on Survivor, this is for you. "Survivor III," rumored to be set in Africa, is slated to air this fall. Applicants must submit an application form and a three-minute videotape demonstrating why they believe they can prevail in the game. The completed application and video must be received by Midnight (12:00 a.m.) on April 13, 2001. After paring down the submissions, producers will interview at least 800 semifinalists in 16 U.S. cities. About four dozen people will be invited to attend final auditions in Los Angeles.

  • CBS Orders Survivor Parts III, IV "

    CBS announced Tuesday it has reached a deal with Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett to make third and fourth installments of the reality game-show smash. Survivor 3 is scheduled to debut this fall. No word yet on how happy (read: rich) Burnett will be under terms of the deal. Burnett reportedly has been scouting possible Survivor 3 locations in South America and Africa.

  • Survivor III Tentatively Scheduled For Fall Premiere

    USA Today recently reported that a third Survivor series is tentatively scheduled to shoot in late summer and air in September or early October. Executive Producer MarkBurnett has apparently settled on either anAfrican jungle or Andes Mountains setting, though a choice between the two has yet to be made.

    Personally, I kinda bummed, I was hoping for a trip Back to The Island. ...but if it has to be one of the two above choices, the African jungle gets my vote.
