CBS's premiere of SURVIVOR: THAILAND, the fifth edition of television's highest rated and most watched reality series, attracted an average of more than 23 million viewers (on par with last year's two editions) and topped the premiere of last season's SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS in households, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, according to Final Nielsen Ratings for Thursday, Sept. 19.

CBS News has announced that Jeff Probst will preview SURVIVOR: THAILAND from the island of Tarutao on the Monday, September 16, 2002 edition of 'The Early Show.'

Variety reports that for the first time, CBS's fall marketing push includes full-length programs highlighting CBS shows on Viacom cable outlets. MTV will run the 30-minute special "Survivor: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," an original "greatest hits" compendium of "Survivor" moments, at least 10 times leading up to the September 19th premiere of "Survivor: Thailand" on CBS.

In her most recent column, E!'s gossip columnist Wanda reports that although CBS and Survivor producers are trying to pretend that they've known all along, an insider assures her they were completely unaware of Survivor Thailand contestant Brian Heidik's pornography past.

Wow, and here we thought there had been some loose casting in 'Big Brother 3'... Today, in what appears to be a strange move for an already wildly popular television program, TheSmokingGun.com has revealed that they have discovered that new 'Survivor: Thailand' contestant Brian Heidik, who's identity was jsut revealed last Thursday, has appeared in several soft-core porn movies.
