Move over Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Kit Hoover, another former reality TV contestant has landed a regular gig on daytime television. The producers of Tony Danza's upcoming ABC daily talk show have announced that former The Apprentice contestant Ereka Vetrini will join Danza as his announcer and sidekick on Danza 's new The Tony Danza Show.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the Television Critics Association has nominated NBC's reality-competition hit The Apprentice as one of the five finalists for its 2004 "Program of the Year" award. The other four finalists are Fox's Arrested Development and three cable shows: HBO's The Sopranos and Angels in America and Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (the only repeat nominee from 2003).

Maybe Kwame Jackson, the Harvard Business School graduate who was runner-up on NBC's The Apprentice, just isn't meant to work for Donald Trump. First, Kwame lost out to Bill Rancic in the "hiring" on the finale of the show. Then The Donald hired Kwame as a "temp" -- to be a judge at the 2004 Miss Universe beauty pageant, which Trump sponsors and co-owns along with NBC. But, before the pageant even took place, Kwame was once again out of work.

Someone throw a flag at the Oakland Raiders for a false start -- in a statement released on Tuesday, the NFL team acknowledged that Raiders CEO Amy Trask had been "premature" in previously announcing that former The Apprentice contestant Nick Warnock had been hired by the team as a luxury suite salesperson.
