America's Next Top Model 8 - Episode 7 Summary

'Who Am I?' By Dalia Jones

This week Belinda James went on a vacation, so I have two guests, Dee and LT.  Welcome everyone, Thanks for having us.  This week's show was full of questions.  Who are you? What have you learned? and Do you feel like a model?

The scene starts with a ride back to the house, Whitney is missing Diana, and now she is the only plus size model in the house.  Now she has to step up her game because she was in the bottom two again.  Renee confesses to us that she does not like anyone in the house.  But I think she is still mad at Sara for winning last week's challenge because Sara did not give Dionne and her any credit.

Dee:  The claws are going to come out tonight.

Next we see the girl's off to a restaurant where there is big board with the name “Lesley Hornsby” on it…Who is that - a designer? a new model? who is it?.…Well it's Twiggy.  She explains to the girls how she became know as “Twiggy”.  She also tells the girls that she would like to introduce a new and upcoming model named… Melissa Rose…AKA Melrose…..from cycle 7

Dee: Melrose needs a job!!!!

She tells the models why she changed her named during the completion. The model's first task for the day was to find their inner superstar and create a new name for themselves. As they go around the room we hear each girl’s new name.

LT: What was Whitney thinking! What is a “Whitelle”?  She could have come up with something better.

Dee: I agree.

LT:   I like that Jael and Jaslene keep their names, they are different and unique.

The next time we see the girls will be at their first challenge.  All the girls were instructed to attend a fabulous “A” list party and test their new names. But keep in mind it's a challenge so they all should be eloquent and humorous and have fun.

Next scene, it's party time. At the party you had Bill Mather, Tia and Tamera Mowery, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

Dee: Are those two a couple?

Next we see the rap star, 50 Cent talking and being very social with all the models.  Everyone seems to be having a good time, but Jael could not take a hint.  50 Cent kept telling her to go away, but she would not leave him alone.  Everyone noticed, even “Nata” a.ka. Natasha asked “What is Jael doing?... All of a sudden 50 Cent had no choice but to push Jael away, and she landed in the pool.  Everyone looked and was shocked, but Jael thought that her and 50 Cent had a good time together.  OK, is this girl on something?  He just pushed her in the pool...

While all of this was going on, Whitelle  a.ka. Whitney noticed the “magic room.”  Who was in this magic room?  None other than Benny Medina, a.k.a Tyra Banks’ manager, with super agent Nancy Josephson,  producer Larry Sanitsky, entrepreneur Nikki Haskell, photographers Markus & Indran and super model Beverly Johnson.  Just like a king holding court he called the girls in one by one. He started asking them questions about themselves.  So he calls in “Wholahay”.  Who is that you ask?  It's our own Dionne.  Benny asked her, “What have you learned so far? “  Wholahay replied "I am learning how to look like a  model."

LT: It is about time she does.  It's a modeling competition.  She finally stepped up her game.  She is starting to look like a model.

Benny asked "What is the most difficult thing about the competition?"  She replied “Being away from my daughter”.

LT: I did not know she had a daughter!!

Next we see the girls back at the house talking about each other.  Jael found out from Nicole Richie that Rene said that she did not like her.  So of course Rene and Jael had words. “Mother Tyra” makes her appraises for cycle 8.  She went from "How are you guys doing?" to "Rene, why don’t the girls like you?"

LT: What was that a “Mean Girl intervention?” 

The next challenge the girls had to write down  four sides of their personally.  Of course Jael was over the top.  I think this photo shoot showed their weakness.

At the elimination ceremony, Jael and Nata had the best pictures, and once again Whitney was in the bottom two with Sara. Every picture that Sara has taken, the judges have said has been to posed.  Well, this week it hurt her, and she went home.
