Sorrentino, 32, reportedly attended the hearing with his fiancee Lauren Pesce.
The reality TV star and his brother Marc are both facing a seven-count indictment for filing false tax returns from 2010 to 2012.
"According to the indictment, Michael and Marc Sorrentino filed false tax returns that incorrectly reported millions made from promotions and appearances," U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman told Us in a September statement.
"The brothers allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts. The law is absolutely clear: telling the truth to the IRS is not optional."
Sorrentino had just been arrested in June for getting into a physical altercation with his brother Frank at the family's Boca Tanning Salon and the case is still pending. He had been sentenced to 12 weeks of anger management classes.
The trial date for the brothers' tax fraud case will be held on December 2.
The Sorrentinos just finished airing its first season in early September.
