America's Got Talent revealed the first group of five Season 13 finalist acts following Tuesday night's broadcast in which 11 semifinalist acts performed for the judges and home viewer votes.

Shin Lim, Michael Ketterer, and Zurcaroh were revealed to have finished as the Top 3 votegetters following Tuesday night's performance show, automatically earning them a spot in the next round of America's Got Talent.

Melanie "Mel B" Brown called the results "uncomfortable" because all three acts were "outstanding" during the performance show. Duo Transcend, in particular, had their best performance to date and Samuel was "funny, funny."

Mel B added her fellow America's Got Talent judge, Simon Cowell, would cry if Voices of Hope went home.

"I feel bad for all three of you and I don't want any of you to come home!" Mel B admitted.

The five lowest votegetters who were immediately sent packing were Us the Duo, Makayla Phillips, Amanda Mena, Junior New System, and Aaron Crow.

The three remaining acts -- Duo Transcend, Samuel J. Comroe and Voices of Hope -- finished in fourth, fifth or sixth place, and were therefore at the mercy of America's live vote and the judges.

The "Dunkin' Save," which allows home viewers a 30-minute window to vote for their favorite act live, eventually saved Samuel from elimination.

In addition to Mel B and Simon, America's Got Talent judges Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum then had to determine whether they'd like to see Duo Transcend or Voices of Hope move forward in the competition.

Heidi said she hated this moment because she loved both of the acts, both on a performance and personal level. She called Duo Transcend "fantastic" and said they "work so hard," but Voices of Hope "couldn't be any sweeter."

Heidi went with her gut and decided to advance Voices of Hope.

Mel B agreed it was a very hard decision because Voices of Hope brought so much to the table on Tuesday night -- including energy, passion and harmonies. She noted it was "inspiring."

Duo Transcend, on the other hand, brought their "A-game" to the stage. With that being said, Mel B voted for Duo Transcend because she really believes in them.

Howie explained Voices of Hope actually give viewers hope and they have a wonderful spirit, but Duo Transcend did something "spectacular."

After Howie voted for Duo Transcend to go to the finals, the vote came down to Simon, as he could either tie the score or send Duo Transcend to the next round.

Simon couldn't turn down the choir of children, so he decided to have host Tyra Banks read the tie-breaker.

"So now the [act] who received the most votes is going to go through," Tyra said. "Oh my gosh, here we go. Based on America's vote, the act going into [the finals] is Duo Transcend!"

America's Got Talent will return Tuesday, September 11 at 8PM ET/PT with 11 more semifinalist acts competing for a spot in the Season 13 finals.

The acts who will take the stage next week are Daniel Emmet, Aaron Crow, Brian King Joseph, Glennis Grace, Noah Guthrie, Da Republik, Christina Wells, Vicki Barbolak, We Three, Angel City Chorale, and Courtney Hadwin.
