Becca Kufrin, who starred on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season, fell for Thomas Jacobs on Bachelor in Paradise's seventh season in Summer 2021, despite the unflattering reputation he had received from appearing on Katie Thurston's The Bachelorette edition earlier that year.
"I have been blindsided in the past, but I said that I was going to come in here open-minded and with no expectations or any pre-conceived notions," Becca told the cameras.
"So I'm going to give him a chance."
Becca and Thomas were sweet and affectionate all summer long, but Becca broke up with Thomas and ended their relationship right before overnight Fantasy Suites in Paradise, which left him completely brokenhearted.
Becca, however, reconnected with Thomas and almost immediately flew to see him in San Diego.
One conversation resulted in the couple trying again, and they've been happily dating and in love ever since.
It apparently took no time at all for Becca to reach the conclusion that she and Thomas are meant to be once they got back together.
"I'm gonna probably hate myself for actually admitting this to anyone, but I called my mom -- and even though I was engaged twice in the past -- I was like, 'Mom, I think I want to marry this guy,'" Becca shared with Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo during an October episode of their "Talking It Out" podcast.
"It's the first time I've ever actually said that out loud."
Becca also revealed Thomas has sent her "multiple text messages" asking about engagement rings.
"It's something we've talked about," Thomas disclosed on the "Talking It Out" episode in November 2021.
"I mean, I don't want to spend my life with anybody else... I wouldn't want to wake up next to anybody else."
Thomas also told Hollywood Life of possibly getting engaged to Becca, "If I was a betting man, I would not put money against that."
In May 2022, Becca announced that she had proposed to Thomas and he had accepted.
"In the ultimate plot twist...HE SAID YES!" Becca, 32, captioned an Instagram slideshow of photos featuring Thomas' new gold ring, the couple popping champagne together, and the lovebirds' two dogs.
Becca didn't specify when exactly she and Thomas got engaged, as she continued in her post, "We've been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we're so excited to shout it from the rooftops!"
In April 2023, Becca and Thomas announced they were expecting their a baby.
Becca subsequently gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby boy they named Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin, in September 2023.
About a month later, the Becca and Thomas also announced they had quietly tied the knot in an intimate and impromptu ceremony on October 13.
