Adrian, an NFL All-star running back, and Britt became the fourth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' 32nd season after they had the lowest combined total of judges' scores and viewer votes that were cast live throughout the two-hour episode.

"I want to say thank you for everything. This journey was amazing and you were a heck of a coach," Adrian told Britt in his final words.

"We had our ups and downs, but you really pushed me and brought the best out of me. I really enjoyed this journey -- great group of people and it was lovely."

And Britt told her celebrity partner, "I just want to say that I'm grateful for this partnership, I'm grateful to still be in the ballroom, and you showed everybody who Adrian Peterson is. You showed grace tonight and I am so proud of your dance journey."

Two other couples -- singer and social media star Lele Pons and pro partner Brandon Armstrong as well as The Brady Bunch star Barry Williams and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd -- were in danger of going home at the end of Tuesday night's broadcast; however, Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro announced how they were not necessarily the bottom three couples based on judges' scores and viewers votes.

Prior to the elimination portion of the evening, 11 couples performed in one round of "Disney" competition for Dancing with the Stars judges Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Marvel star Xochitl Gomez and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy topped the judges' leaderboard in first place with a score of 27 out of 30 possible points. They had received the first nines of the season for their Coco-themed paso doble.

Carrie Ann said the Dancing with the Stars performance was "unbelievable" and she brought something unique to the dance floor -- a speed, dynamic and lightness. And Derek added how Xochitl looked like an artist painting on a canvas as she danced.

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and pro partner Pasha Pashkov finished in second place on the leaderboard with 25 points after they performed a contemporary routine inspired by Frozen.

Bruno gushed about how there was "nothing frozen about that" performance because Ariana was dramatic, in character, and had told a story. Bruno said he loved Ariana's determination to succeed.

Carrie Ann thought Ariana was "amazing" and very strong in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom, but she said she would've loved to see more freedom in her movements.

Third place on the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard represented a tie between two couples at 24 points: The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and pro partner Artem Chigvintsev as well as two-time Grammy winning singer Jason Mraz and pro partner Daniella Karagach.

Charity and Artem danced a waltz to music from The Little Mermaid.

Bruno thought Charity's waltz was a wonderful and uplifting dance, and Carrie Ann called Charity a role model. Derek complimented Charity on being a consistent dancer this season who delivered another "magnificent" routine.

Jason and Daniella took the Dancing with the Stars stage with a foxtrot inspired by Aladdin.

Derek told Jason that he had blown the judges' minds but he could soften and bend his legs a little more going forward.

Bruno praised Jason for his poise and control, adding how he looked like "the perfect prince." But Carrie Ann could tell Jason wasn't as comfortable in this dance as he's been with other dances in the past.

Lele and Brandon claimed fifth place on the judges' leaderboard after performing a 22-point worthy rumba to music from The Lion King.

Bruno yelled, "We are in business! You corrected everything I told you. Your center was so much stronger, your extensions were not wobbly, and your focus was absolutely correct. It was sensual and sophisticated. Now, just work on your legs."

Sixth place turned out to be a tie at 21 judges' points amongst three celebrities: Adrian, social media and Netflix star Harry Jowsey, and actress Mira Sorvino.

Adrian and Britt performed a Vietnamese waltz for Dancing with the Stars viewers inspired by Dumbo.

Carrie Ann thought it was the "most touching dance of the night" because it was so pure and there was a refinement in the details.

Derek gave Adrian a standing ovation and said he had transformed before their eyes because it was a graceful and beautiful dance. In fact, Derek said the dance really "moved" him.

Harry and pro partner Rylee Arnold performed a quickstep routine inspired by Toy Story.

Derek announced, "There is a new Prince Harry in town!... You were in the character, you were full of confidence. You were connected to that dance. I really, really loved that dance!"

But Bruno admitted Harry wasn't always on the right beat, even though his performance was "much, much better" than in previous weeks.

Mira and pro partner Gleb Savchenko took the Dancing with the Stars stage with a Cinderella-style waltz.

Bruno said Mira was "the belle of the ball" by being elegant and soft but that she needs to trust her partner more going forward. And Carrie Ann said Mira was giving "queen energy" and looked "sure footed" on the dance floor.

Real estate mogul and reality TV star Mauricio Umansky and pro partner Emma Slater finished in ninth place on the leaderboard after they danced a paso doble that channeled Mickey Mouse.

Mauricio and Emma received 19 judges' points for their routine, which Derek considered "magical" and "fantastic" thanks to Mauricio's form and shape. Derek thought Mauricio had swept Emma across the dance floor, and Bruno thought that dance was "polished to perfection."

Tenth place on the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard was a tie between two couples: Barry and pro partner Peta as well as American Pie actress Alyson Hannigan and pro partner Sasha Farber.

Barry and Peta earned 18 judges' points for their jazz routine inspired by Lady and the Tramp.

Carrie Ann said that was Barry's "best dance" so far but there were some mistakes such as the lift and how he got off time. However, she complimented his charm and class.

Derek thought Barry looked cool, confident and collected, and he praised Barry for recovering well from the small errors.

Alyson and Sasha also received 18 points from the Dancing with the Stars judges for their jazz routine inspired by Beauty and the Beast.

Carrie Ann praised Alyson for being animated, but she said Alyson sometimes got a little off tempo and lost some of her movements due to being so in character. Derek said the dance lacked content but Alyson made up for it with her huge personality.
