The Amazing Race: All-Stars eliminated Cord McCoy and Jet McCoy during Sunday night's tenth episode of the CBS reality competition's 24th overall season and third all-stars edition.
 
"The Cowboy Brothers" became the seventh team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's tenth Pit Stop at Seville's Plaza de Espana in Spain in last place. Jet and Cord were the only team forced to complete both sides of the Detour task thanks to Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran U-Turning them.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Monday, Jet and Cord talked about their The Amazing Race experience. Below is the first half. Check back with us soon for the concluding portion.

Reality TV World: How certain were you guys that you were in last place when you arrived at the Pit Stop?

Jet McCoy: We were pretty certain.

Reality TV World: Any idea how far behind Jennifer Wayne and Caroline Cutbirth you finally met Phil Keoghan on the mat?

Jet McCoy: No, I don't know how far behind them we got there. I don't think it was that much, but we knew after we had left the barbershop that all three of the teams were pretty close. And then after we got the U-Turn, we pretty well knew we were in last at that point.

Cord McCoy: Yeah, I think we knew where we were at, but you know, it's just kind of like the last nail in the coffin when you actually get to hear Phil say, "You are the last team to arrive." And that sort of just makes your heart drop, you know, just hearing it. I think we knew where we were at, but just hearing it just kind of was the straw that broke the camel's back, I guess.

Reality TV World: You two appeared to be pretty pissed off when you realized Leo and Jamal had U-Turned you. Jet, you called them "dirty suckers" and what not. Were you just airing out your frustration in the heat of the moment or did you carry those feelings for awhile for whatever reason? I know you also mentioned you never trusted them from the very beginning of the Race.

Jet McCoy: Yeah, I was the one that made all the comments. And yes, I was aggravated and I've been asked that a couple of other times. The thing is, them U-Turning us was really their best play. That was their best option in that situation. The aggravating part is that people say they're going to do one thing and then do something else.

And, you know, everybody before then -- everybody was saying they were going to U-Turn the Brenchels [Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly]. They even said themselves at the U-Turn box, "Well, we were going to U-Turn the Brenchels, but we got to get "The Cowboys" out of the way.

So, like I said, it didn't surprise me that they did it, it was their best play. But it was just aggravating to have people say one thing and then do something else. That's what's aggravating. I would rather they just come up to us and said, "Hey, if we beat you all to the U-Turn box, we're going to U-Turn you." And I would've been totally okay with that.

Reality TV World: When you got U-Turned, did you immediately worry that was going to ruin your chances of winning the Race?

Jet McCoy: When we got to the U-Turn box and the Brenchels were already up there, they had been U-Turned by "The Country Singers," so either the Brenchels were going back -- and at that point we didn't know whether the Brenchels were doing the other side of the Roadblock -- or we were the only team that got U-Turned. But we knew both of the other teams [Leo and Jamal and Caroline and Jennifer] had already been there and gone.

Reality TV World: Going back to the beginning of the leg, you guys missed the exit to the airport and I think you mentioned it set you back 10-15 minutes. Is that accurate and is that responsible for you missing the first flight out or do you think you would've missed it regardless based upon the time you departed for the leg?

Jet McCoy: I don't know. It's hard to say because you don't know exactly what time it is, you know, when you're in the moment and I didn't check my watch.

But that could've been what kept us from missing the first flight, but ultimately, we were on the same flight as two other teams when it was all said and done anyway. So, I mean, I don't think that -- I mean, it was one mistake that we made on that leg, but I don't think ultimately that was our demise.

Reality TV World: You two were shown saying you didn't want to get involved in any of the drama involving the "accidental alliance" vs. Brendon and Rachel. Why were you guys so insistent on staying out of it? And did you agree with one side more than the other although you didn't voice those opinions at the time?

Cord McCoy: We're pretty good about, you know, we were friends with about every Racer. But I think Jet and I were real careful to try not to start leaning on a leg that we knew could be tripped up underneath us eventually.

They only pay one team a million dollars, so you know, Jet and I were really careful, but we definitely ran our own race and did our own thing. Whether people think it's right or wrong, we didn't have to worry about whether somebody else was going to help us that leg or not.

Reality TV World: So what were your general opinions of Brendon and Rachel? Did you get along with them for the most part?

Cord McCoy: Jet?

Jet McCoy: (Laughs) I guess. We didn't spend a lot of time with Brendon and Rachel at all. I mean, we didn't spend a whole lot of time with any of the other teams, really, except the chit-chat we kind of did in passing. And then again, that's that same scenario. Me and Cord were there to run a race.

We hoped that we would make friends and we sure weren't out to make enemies. We were just kind of concentrating on the Race, and I don't think we had anything -- we didn't have anything going for or against Brendon and Rachel I guess.

Reality TV World: We didn't see much of you guys attempting that flamenco dancing Detour task. How'd that go and how long did it take you to finish?

Jet McCoy: They should've aired the whole dance because I don't know if you know this, but they're probably telling people in their school now, "Do you remember how 'The Cowboys' did it? Do it like that." I'm guessing that's what's going on there.

Cord McCoy: Yeah right!

Jet McCoy: We were [whistles] good. I'm not a dancer, so I wouldn't be a flamenco dancer. (Laughs)

Reality TV World: You two had missed the "a matador" part of the motto you needed to recite at the end of the "Running with Bulls" task. How long did it take you to go back and run through the course again? You must've gotten pretty banged up having to go through all that twice.

Jet McCoy: Yeah, I don't know exactly. Again, you don't check your watch in the moment, but it took us a good minute to have to go all the way back around. And then it's one of those situations where, you know, everybody after the Race -- just like they always do -- they can always call you and say, "Well, you should've done this," or, "You should've done that."

But when you start that task, you have no idea where or how long the paths with the little signs are going to be and all that. At that point, we didn't know if the whole phrase was at one of those points or if you had to pick them all up along the way or what.

So, yeah, it was definitely aggravating and obviously detrimental that we missed the first one, but I can't look back and say, "Well, I should've done that different from what I did." It's just the way it happened.

Reality TV World: Jet, how long do you think it took you to complete the Roadblock task in which you had to shave the balloon? I know you didn't have a great sense of time while you were racing, but any idea on that?

Jet McCoy: It didn't take long. I don't know as far as exact time frame, but I think I did it three or four times maybe.
