Farrah Abraham has denied giving her daughter weight loss tea.
"She has strawberry milk and I have my tea," she told Us Weekly magazine. "She wanted to take a pic like that, so no, my daughter does not have tea in her cup."
Abraham had promoted the tea in a photo with Sophia on Monday, writing, "Teatime @flattummytea @sophialabraham & I - after all that candy." She faced heavy backlash after social media users assumed the 7-year-old was drinking the tea.
"I'm sure your delusional parenting ways are further damaging that child by teaching her to take laxatives to be thin," one person wrote in the comments.
"Farrah be careful with that flat tummy tea. I doubt Sophia understands anything much about it but she is getting messages about body acceptance from you," another wrote.Abraham faced similar criticism in June after sharing a picture of Sophia in swimwear and full makeup from a photo shoot. She later told Us Weekly she's encouraging her daughter to pursue a modeling career.
"People can say whatever they want about me, but I have to say as a mother, I am so damn proud of how everyone just raves about my daughter," the star said. "She is so amazing and so ready for this."
