Worst Cooks in America will begin with 12 cooks from across the country as they arrive at a "culinary boot camp" led by Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef host Anne Burrell and executive chef Beau MacMillan. The contestants will be split into two teams, who will then learn culinary skills from their leader -- either Burrell or MacMillan.

The contestants will subsequently be tested in a variety of challenges and based on their performances, they'll be eliminated each week until only two are left.

During the finale on Monday, February 1 at 9PM ET/PT, the two finalists will prepare a three-course meal for a panel of food critics, who will be under the impression that the meals were prepared by Burrell and MacMillan.

Worst Cooks in America's winner will receive $25,000.

"Watching the Worst Cooks in America struggle to become great cooks, makes a show that is very funny, dramatic and moving," said Food Network programming executive Bob Tuschman.

"Ultimately, it offers hope for even the most kitchen-challenged of our viewers."

Food Network ordered the five-episode series in April.
